This increased risk that we face, and the ways society and individuals can work together to reduce that risk, are explained to the public through the case studies of three epidemics: Ebola, infl...。1939年，国军退出冀中战场，留下一批美军援助的军火及物资由留守人员张志强藏匿。战争愈发激烈，张志强见国军迟迟没有消息，决定将物资交付顽强抗日的八路军队伍。在与八路军游击队长叶凌青接头时，张志强被赶来的日军抓获，计划失败。日军在对张志强的审讯中未能获知这批物资的下落，只得将其秘密关押。为了尽快找到这批军火，八路军政委余向秋委派叶凌青设法获得日军信任，打入敌军内部，打探张志强的关押地点并设法营救他。从此，叶凌青与八路军战士开始了与日军寻找、争夺军火与物资的战斗。最终在八路军的领导与配合下，叶凌青和战友们赶在日军之前找到这批军火与物资，并一举歼灭了松井的日军中队，圆满完成了党和组织交办的任务。1940年秋，在党中央周密部署下，晋察冀八路军部队对日军展开全面反攻，史称百团大战。。
