故事发生在三十年代的香港，贪官污吏横行，拐卖案件频发。某日，梁芯（杨怡 饰）前往警局报案，遇见了名为金华（张继聪 饰）的杂差，梁芯深知警局内见钱眼开的歪风邪气，自然没有将破案的指望托付在金华身上。之后，梁芯遇见了警察沉一然（杨明 饰），和其他警探不同，沉一然年轻有为正直勇敢，在他的帮助下，人贩最终落入法网。 梁芯和沉一然之间产生了真挚的感情，然而梁芯身份特殊，自知无法名正言顺的和沉一然走到一起，于是选择将这份感情埋藏在心底。早已经爱上梁芯的金华将这一切看在眼里，为了成全所爱之人，他忍痛出面调解，最终顺利的将梁芯和沉一然撮合到了一起。。该剧讲述了1949年解放军即将入四川，国民党想要实施“成都大爆炸”，地下党破坏国民党的阴谋。。An insane man first loves then grows to hate his neighbor, an old man whose penetrating gaze unnerves the insane man.
