Volpe是意大利语，对应英文是fox意为狐狸，这是女主的姓氏，剧中fox和Volpe都有人喊。Signora是意大利语女士的意思，所以剧名也可以翻译为《狐狸女士》。Edwin Antony (Hywel Bennett) is emasculated in an accident which kills a young philanderer. Doctors successfully replace his member with that of the dead man, but refuse to tell him the full story of the organ's origin.
